My Story
I've always been passionate about advocating for what I believe in: human rights, environmental justice, and communities that keep us connected and healthy.

As a lawyer at First Peoples Law for the past five years, I have been privileged to work alongside Indigenous Nations across Canada, supporting them as they advance their inherent and constitutionally protected rights. I help Indigenous governments design and lead their own environmental assessment processes, address the legacy of contaminated sites, and push governments to account for the cumulative effects of industrial development. In addition to my client work, I have presented on legal issues affecting Indigenous governments as a university guest lecturer, to the Senate of Canada, and to other community organizations.
For over 20 years, since I was a teenager, I have advocated for climate action and environmental protection. At law school at the University of Victoria, I worked for the Environmental Law Centre and volunteered with the Pacific Centre for Environmental Law and Litigation (CELL). I continue to volunteer to support environmental initiatives as a board member of Wilderness Committee, an environmental non-profit that works to fight climate change, defend wildlife, and protect nature while partnering with Indigenous Nations and respecting Indigenous governance rights, and as a supervisor of the Climate Litigation Public Education Project with Pro Bono Students Canada.

I'm passionate about liveable and healthy communities. I was born in Australia, went to high school in Victoria, BC, did undergrad in Montreal, came back to Victoria for law school, and have called Vancouver home for the last six years. Throughout I've been an advocate for making whichever community I've lived in a place where people can thrive. My first foray into advocacy was going to city hall in Australia at age 10 to save the community pool (it worked - although I can't claim sole credit for that). Since then, I've run as a Park Board candidate with OneCity in the 2022 election and continued to be involved in pushing Vancouver to be a more equitable place to live - whether that's speaking against the proposed 2026 austerity budget (and inevitable service cuts) or volunteering as a lawyer to advocate for tenants at the Residential Tenancy Branch.

I live in Strathcona and love the neighbourhood. In my spare time, you can find me running around the sea wall, biking anywhere I can, and swimming in whichever pool does not have chunks of the ceiling falling into it.
